Gravitational Waves

Another piece of evidence that scientists found is its microwave background. When Kamionkowski and his team announced that gravitational waves have been detected in the microwave background, this was the best and strongest evidence that the Big Bang started inflation. Inflation is used to describe how the universe rapidly expanded after the Big Bang. Those who believe in the Big Bang Theory think that the inflation was what caused the universe to be born.
