Another one of the steps of the Eightfold path is, Right Effort. Right Effort means to make an effort to avoid all bad thoughts. You could tell him to do Right Effort, and partner with us!

In the Eightfold path, which is a Buddhist concept, on of the steps is Right Conduct. In the Right Conduct step, it says that there should be no killing, no stealing, no lying, and no hurting others in your life.

This empire sounds very similar to the Gupta empire, so as your advisor, I did some research on the Gupta Empire. This raja is very religious, and follows Buddhism. Therefore, you should tell him that we should solve this the Buddhism way, and be nonviolent. Although, you should tell him that if he didn't join with us, we will go to war with him. Lastly, we want to unite our two peaceful kingdoms, and create one peaceful kingdom!
