Most Destructive Texas Tornado

The deadliest tornado in Texas history is the Goliad tornado of May 18, 1902. This was a F4 tornado. A total of 114 people died. 250 people were injured, $125,000 in damage occurred, and inflation put it at $3,424,800 in damage. After the tornado all the deceased were buried in a trench, due to the lack of time and money. This tornado is tied with the Waco tornado of May 11, 1953, as the deadliest in Texas history. It is also 11th in the United States top deadliest tornadoes.
