HYBRIDIZATION
Use a complementary DNA strand to hybridization of a nucleic acid probe for the repressor gene. This process consists of the multiwell plates holding the gene being placed on a nylon membrane to split up the DNA into single strands. The nylon membrane will then be placed in a bag containing the radioactively labeled probe molecules. The probe molecules will attach to the niceness gene copied correctly and the well containing this gene will be visible after a film is placed on the nylon membrane where the radioactive spots are exposed.
