Charles Grandison Finney

Of all the preachers roaming the countryside, Charles Finney was, by far, the most famous preacher of the era. When he preached, his followers would become so emotional, they would sometimes fainted. He converted at the age of 29 and traveled the countryside on horseback to deliver the message of God. He was high drama when preaching and it felt like he glared into everyone's soul.
