GEOGRAPHY:
-Stretches across present day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan
-The civilization was naturally bordered by the Arabian Sea and mountains, which sheltered the civilization from attack and disease. Water from the Indus river, which ran straight through the civilization, fertilized and irrigated crops. Access to the river led to boats being a viable transportation option.
INDUS RIVER VALLEY CIVILIZATION
ECONOMY:
-The economy depended greatly on trade
-The development of widespread irrigation systems allowed the indigenous population to provide food for themselves. Wheat and barley were primary crops.
