Nazis chose 52 prisoners to find the Nazis subjected 52 concentration camp prisoners to Phosgene gas in an attempt to find an antidote to the poison to interact with the poison. Phosgene in WWI was also used as a weapon. Causing unbelievable irritation in their lungs by not intentional exposure to the gas. After they were exposed, already being weak and not well nourished, 4 died.
