Cause

The cause of Meniere's Disease is unknown. It may be related to a fluid called endolymph in the inner ear. In people with Ménière's disease, to much of this fluid builds up causing pressure in the parts of the inner ear that control balance. Experts are not sure why this fluid builds up. It may be that the body produces to much of the fluid, or maybe the fluid isn't draining as it should,or possibly both.
Some main causes are : head trauma, middle ear infection, disruptive sleep apnea, respiratory tract infection, using aspirin, smoking/drinking, and syphilis
