In the 1970's Disco started at a gay underground New York clubs. Not only the gay, but also Lesbian, African American, Latino, and etc... A couple of the clubs were The Loft, Tenth Floor, and 12 West. What mainly started Disco was the movie Saturday Night Fever.
Clothing was odd during Disco time. Women wore boob-tubes, platform shoes, flared trousers, glitter, and crazy patterns. The men wore hot, leathery suits, big hair, and very short and tight shorts.
The Hustle was the most common dance

Frankie Knuckles ( stage name ) was the number one DJ of disco times. He also created some of his own classics.
Colorful colors see found throughout all clubs
Disco balls were found not in just one spot on the floor, but various corners and throughout the club.
