Deciduous
In a deciduous forests trees have broad leaves that capture more sunlight than the narrow evergreen leaves. When the temperature drops below zero in the winter the deciduous trees lose all their leaves and go into a state of dormancy.
Evergreen
Evergreen trees have narrow, needle-like leaves unlike deciduous trees. These trees keep their leaves throughout the year on losing a few, but new ones quickly grow in the leaves place.
Plant Adaptations
Plant adaptations are the special features that plants have to help them survive in particular locations. Some examples would be smooth, wavy, or serrated leaf margins or need like or scale like leaves.
