Mr. Tatum was then detained and was taken to the police station. He then was fingerprinted and turns out this was not his first offense. Stephen Tatum is a noted sex offender on Megan's Law. Police received a search warrant to search Mr. Tatum's house. When police arrived they discovered blood stains in the basement, a gun in his bedroom, and a freshly dug hole in his back yard. When they dug the hole up they found the body of a young teenage girl, who was late identified as Karli Morale

Thanks to age progression sketches and her fingerprints they found a missing persons report made eleven years ago they were able to positively identify the victim known as Karli Morale.
