Plants found in the desert

The barrel cactus can reach 5-11 feet tall and have 3-4 inch spines all over it.

It has yellow-green or red blossoms on its top.

The Joshua tree gets its name from Joshua of the Old Testament in the Bible.

It can live about 200 years and grows 15-40 ft. and has a diameter of 1-3 ft.

The jumping cholla is also called teddy bear cholla. It looks like a fuzzy, soft plant with short branches that look like teddy bear.

It can grow 3-7 feet.
