If the invasive species consumed more from any level then it would affect animals of levels both above and below the species being consumed on the food web.
- When a primary consumers that ate that producer would have less food to eat, causing their population to drop. This would be shown if there were less saltwater plants for the plankton to eat.
- Any secondary consumers, such as the Pelican Eel, that ate plankton would then have less food to eat because there were less plankton.
- If another other tertiary consumer, such as the Great White Shark, that ate the Pelican Eel would have less food to eat and their population would decrease as well.
