What causes the disease?
Down's Syndrome is caused when one of three types of abnormal cell division involving chromosome 21 occurs. Chromosome 21 is responsible for characteristic features and developmental problems.
The three genetic variations of Down syndrome is; Trisomy 21, Mosaic Down syndrome, and Translocation Down syndrome.
