- When Jains worship "gods," they do so to set before themselves, the example of perfection that they want to follow in their own lives. Each soul has a possibility of achieving liberation and becoming a god.
Souls could be in: Earth-bodied- clay, sand, metal
Water-bodied- fog, rain, ice Fire-bodied- fire, lightning
Air- bodied- wind, gas Plant-bodied- trees, flowers
- Jiva= the soul
