Every 5 minute run can help prevent heart disease
Summary

A new story was published saying that even a few minutes of running per day, can decrease the rick of heart disease. More than 55,000 people between the ages of 18-100 over a 15 year period of time on the relationship of running to heart diesease. People who ran regularly lived an average of 3 years longer than nonrunners. Those who ran had a 30% lower risk of death from all causes and 45% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease. Even in people who smoke, have diabetes, or obese, the results still proved to be the same. The distance or pace of the runner did not have much of a difference in results, unless there is a vast amount of difference. The results showed that the key to preventing heart disease was consistency, or keeping it up for longer than 6 years. Other benefits come out of running other than preventing heart disease, including lower blood pressure, decrease the production of glucose, and keeping walls and cells intact inside of your body.
