Plessey vs. Ferguson

In 1896 he Supreme Court determined that separate but equal was constitutional. Segregation was the law. Across the country blacks and whites were separated.

During this case it legitimatized the numerous laws of forcing segregation standards in buildings, busses, trains, schools, and much more.
