Mr. Brownback believes the state needs the ability to make its own decisions. The big things like border patrol and civil rights belong to the federal government. He is a firm believer in the schools being locally/ state funded. The state should be able to maintain its own environment and jobs.

State vs. Federal govt.

The state needs its own implement of Medicaid and welfare. The states should not be so dependent on the federal government. There are some things it can help with, but states need to be more independent in choices for the citizens of that state.
