Today

Gabriele Fallopio's discoveries are important now because we now have names for the vagina, placenta, clitoris, palate, and cochlea and don't have to worry about them being named other things. Gabriele also gave us an idea of how the channels through which eggs pass from the ovaries to the uterus, and how the semicircular canals of the inner ear looks like by describing them.

Rank, J. (2010, August 3).
