History on SIDS:

👼 In 1969 scientists apply the term "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome" to what is now recognized as a distinct condition.
👼 The first cases of SIDS was diagnosed in the 1960's.
👼 The first reported case of SIDS was in Pennsylvania, two month old fraternal African American twins; both infants were found at the same time.
👼 Back in the days parents used to dip their child's soothers in honey, which sometimes contains the bacterium that causes botulism. May have been a cause of infant deaths.
