Stars can be studied by the naked eye or by telescope. Stars have been studied by many different groups of people and have been interpreted differently. The Chinese and Arabs were the first known people to study stars. That is why many stars gave Arabic names such asAlderbaran and Alcor. Tycho Brahe is known as the naked eye astronomer because he studied stars just by looking at them.
