Discussion

Summary of Experiment

The goal of our experiment was to discover how salt water affects bean plant growth. After following correct procedures, we discovered that plants watered with salt water grew more slowly or not at all. In fact, only one plant watered with salt water grew (and only a little) whereas the the fresh-waters almost all grew and were all taller. All factors were the same except for the water type. I learned that plants can be negatively affected by salt in several ways, and that some plants cope better than others. In this case, most of the bean planet coped badly, and only a few survived.
