White light is made up of 3 different colors.

Light is made up of 3 primary colors, red blue and green. When you look at something red, blue and green is being absorbed by the object while red is being reflected to your eyes. The color black means the absence of light. When you look at a white object, all three colors are being reflected to your eyes, enabling you to see white.
