AFTERLIFE: Hebrew Scriptures are silent about an afterlife, but later Rabbinical teachings speak of a type of heaven (Gan Eden) and hell (Gehenna)

FESTIVALS:
Passover: celebrates the Exodus out of Egypt
Sabbath: day of rest (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday)

DIVISIONS:
Orthodox: emphasis on tradition, strict observance of Mosaic Law
Conservative: middle ground between Orthodox and Reform
Reform: liberal, emphasizes ethics
