Around 1600 to 1606, Caravaggio was considered the greatest artist in Rome and again in Naples between 1606 to 1610 after he became an outlaw in Rome
Many of Caravaggio's works dealt with death and contained graphic sexual images which the people and church viewed as vulgar
Caravaggio became an orphan when his dad died in 1584 because his mom died in 1577 at age eleven
Caravaggio started as a religious artist but later on made his painting using naturalism and realism like most artist of his time
Caravaggio was always getting into trouble for something like brawling and arguments with all sorts of people.
