-After Narmer had made the courageous decision to leave Thinis and go with Nitho, the Porters and his Master they set off at predawn light.
-Nitho’s Master now Narmer’s Master thought it would be best if Narmer was to be carried in a chair fastened to two tent poles until he thought it was best that he tried to start walking again. Narmer’s pain was excruciating even though he was carried.
-As they passed through the town Narmer could smell familiar smells of Thinis human dung and baking bread.
-Narmer despite the fact of being homesick he told himself that he wouldn’t look back and he would be strong. No matter how strong he tried to be, he cried looking back at Thinis seeing how beautiful it mas in the early morning.
-Again despite the fact that he had been carried the past moon he was tired. Even the thought of taking a few steps was tiring. Narmer thought this would be his life now forever. Never to turn back again.
-Narmer noticed that Nitho no longer called him Prince. He was one of them now.
-Narmer wanted to cool down and pour the water bag over his head to cool down but he knew how precious water is to them now.
-The trader barked out an order to the Porters and told Narmer he could be carried no longer. He pleaded to Nitho to tell him that it was to hard to walk, but the Trader was his Master now.
-No matter the excruciating pain he found a strategy to help him walk step, swing, step, swing. It was agony at first and the pain slowly eased
-Nitho said he did really well trying to walk for the first time and he could now ride on the chair.
- Narmer was shocked that he could walk and Nitho told him he could do anything he set his mind to. He felt that the accomplishment of walking was better then any other cheer in Thinis.
