We believe the main event in this chapter was the walk from Thinis to Punt. This walk showed..
1. The reality of a Trader.
2. Narmer's struggle of being homesick.
4. How precious some supplies are when travelling.

After Narmer had made the decision to leave Thinis he realised that this would be his life now. How hard the life of a traveller/ trader is to keep everyone safe, to make the right order for everyone without knowing the circumstance. Narmer’s master made one of the many decisions of ordering Narmer to walk, to build up his confidence and strength. Narmer's master normally made the right decisions for the long run, by telling Narmer to walk it builded his resilience. You could say the Trader was being cruel to be kind, by being cruel it helped for later on in the walk.

Narmer showed how hard it was to try not to think of home. He got over the fact that he was leaving his life back in Thinis, his master and Nitho helped him realise that he will get through it. Its understandable that he had certain thoughts throughout the text because it would be very hard going from the o’ mighty Golden one to a traveller/trader.

On page 81 Narmer wanted to pour the water bag on his head but he realised how the water was so precious to them. Many supplies that they took along had to be rationed because they were limited. Generally whatever they took bought or trader from the last destination was what they had until they got to the next destination. They would sometimes find a water hole or some food they could eat.
