The Congress met on May 10, 1775 in Philadelphia

The Congress was going to decide who would lead the New England army.

John Adams proposed that the congress create an army.

George Washington was chosen to lead the army

In the Battle of Bunker Hill more than 1000 British troops were killed

After the battle the beginning of the Revolutionary war had begun.

The importance of the battle was that the war had begun
