- Many Heroic males and females of Christian virtue came on the scene
during the time of Post-Reformation adjusment.
- Historians called this the Age of Saints
-One of these saints was St. Vincent de Paul
- Was born in a poor family in the village of Pouy in Gascony, France.
- In 1596, He attend the University of Toulouse for theological studies
- In 1600, He was ordained a Priest
- In 1605, On a voyage from Marseilles to Narbonne, he was captured by African Pirates and carried to Tunis
- He was enslaved for two years, till Divine Providence helped him escaped
- In 1617, He began to preach missions
- In 1625, he began the foundation of congregation which became known as the Congregation of the Mission
