Club programs should ideally be supportive of the clubs Mission Statement and it's main events (league/tournament play), but not exclusively so.
The curriculum as a whole will benefit from these foundation programs which add substance to areas of development that need further exploration.
When marketing our club identity, it's the programs we run which help define our clubs as much as any other single aspect of what we do. It is therefore of crucial importance that our curriculum is flexible and addresses the needs of those who we coach. Therefore, these are supporting programs, which add depth by offering further exploration in key areas of concern. This added value, provides opportunities for growth in any one of the four corners, or a combination of corners from that model. If planned and executed well the sum of their parts become greater than the core sessions alone.
They also offer a myriad of opportunities for our coaches to display their individualised strengths to a larger audience, benefiting players and coaches who ordinarily would be outside of another coaches sphere of influence.
This use of our coaching pool is essential if we are to fulfil our coaches intrinsic personal worth.
