13, 14 and 15 amendments.
The 13th Amendment says that slavery in the United States is not allowed. President Abraham Lincoln signed it in February of 1865.
The 14 amendment says that anyone born in the United States is a citizen of the U.S. and of the state in which he or she lives. It also says that states cannot turn down to any person wanting to enter the United States It took effect in 1868.
The 15 amendment was to assure African American men the right to vote. It was passed in 1870.
