Balanced and Unbalanced Forces

-Net force- It is the over all force acting on an object.
-Zero (0) net force=forces that are balanced- and the speed is constant, so there is no change in the objects motion.
- Net forces is not zero- unbalanced forces cause Speed, direction, or both (acceleration) to change.
- Forces must be big enough to overcome the object inertia (like resisting to change its motion)
- Acceleration only occurs when an unbalanced net force acts on a object.
Examples-Balanced force- Two cards leaning against each other not falling over, and unbalanced force would be two cards leaning against each other falling over.
