Examples of Forces

Friction- The force that causes a moving object to slow down when it is touching another object.
Example- If a book slides across the surface of the desk, then the desk exerts a friction force in the opposite direction of its motion.

Gravity- The force of gravity is the force with which the earth, moon, or other massive large object attracts another object toward its self.
- If it's a shorter distance, it's going to have more gravitational force.
- The more mass, it's going to have a more gravitational force.
Example- The moon's gravity is 1/6 of Earth's because it has a less mass.
