Barker
・Baker first practiced law in Huntsville, Alabama, near his home town. He practiced with D.P Wiley, using the name Wiley and Baker.
・In 1861, Baker was elected to the state legislature. While he served in the Confederate Army a year later, he was elected district judge for what we now know as the Eleventh District Court in Houston.
・Barker was the father of James A.Barker, and great grandfather to James A. Barker III, a presidential cabinet member to Ronald Reagan and George Bush.
・He died on February 24th, 1897, and was buried in Huntsville.
