Which Species are Endangered?

There are 17 different species of penguin, most of these penguins are either considered stable or on the verge of threatened. However, there are five species that are endangered or being considered to be endangered. The Galápagos penguin is the most endangered with around 1000 breeding pairs left in the world. Along with them, the African and Southern Rockhopper are being considered for the endangered list and the Humboldt, Erected crest and yellow eyed penguin are already on that list.
