1. Description:

In the painting there is a garden. There are three children, one with a wagon. A house in the background. Different types of flowers in the garden. The use of the blue, plums and various greens.

There is a high horizons line that draws our eyes into the canvas, even though the path is blocked in the distance by rising steps. In the positive space there is the garden, the kids, and the path. In the middle space there is the house, and in the native space the blue sky. Balanced is used with the kids because they seem to be equally separated on the path. The movement of the painting draws our yes up the path and then back down to the front.

The mood is set with the use of the green, purple and blue colors, and gives an impression of a happy memorable time for the painter. Also with the use of the different colors and the negative space give me the impression that it is summer. The movement in the painting make me assume that the artist wanted the viewer to focus on the front of the painting more than the back.

When I look at the painting I feel involved and draw into it because it interest me with colors and flowers. I thinks that the artist has created a interesting piece of artwork. For me the artists has been successful with communicating the artwork.
