What is SIDS?

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) also know as crib or cot death is a diagnosis given when a healthy baby dies in their sleep for no apparent reason. After many tests and examinations if doctors and investigators cannot pinpoint a reason the death is diagnosed as SIDS. SIDS is the leading cause of death in babies under one month old.
