The second illumination came out a few times after having customised my 6 strings Cort "Artisan". I realised that I wanted more, so I begun to search on the internet some particular bass from which take the idea to create my own bass.

The idea was to have the "definitive bass" so I decided to ask someone to build a 7 strings customised bass.

On the web I found many interesting things, some absurds, other too expensive.

I collected may materials, photos, descriptions, specifications etc. and I asked some

instrument maker in Milan wether they were available and able to build what I wanted.

The only one that said yes was Jacaranda.

We discussed about the bridge, the neck and other many specifications....In the end we reached the final solution customising a 6 strings
JDF, the best model produced by Jacaranda, substituting the standard bridge with an ABM 7 strings bridge and strings blocker at the top of the neck.

Unfortunately the piezo were not available on this bridge but, with an active electronic and EMG pick-ups, the bass has an incedible tone, that can go from the bass ones right to the "guitar-like" medium/high frequencies and attack!

Thanks to this bass now I feel free to play as a "bassist", with groovings, walkings bass etc,

but I also the possibility, without changing instrument, to play tapping, chords,

harmonisations, arpeggios, and two indipendent hand parts strictly solistic.
