1. First gather all materials including notebook and pencil

2. Read guiding question and understand what is being asked.

3. Then, measure out 20 mL of rubbing alcohol into a beaker.

5. Using a calculator, or doing by hand, set a proportion using the given concentration in the statement (47%)

Hint: 47% concentration refers to the solute (amount of vinegar) in relation to the rubbing alcohol

6. So now simply multiply 47% to 20 to get the amount of vinegar that needs to be mixed in with rubbing alcohol to create a 47% concentration

7. After finding the amount of vinegar, mix it in with the 20 mL of rubbing alcohol.

8. Now write down the amount of vinegar that you put into the alcohol to get the answer to the question!!
