Stine, a cabdriver, picked up Zodiac and parked a block away from where Zodiac had originally requested.

Zodiac shot the cabdriver once in the head point-blank range.

According to the three young witnesses that watched the crime and called the police, the Zodiac Killer wiped the cab with a piece of the cabdriver's bloodstained shirt.
