Navigation Act


-Passed on July 27, 1663
-This document required all European goods going to America or other colonies to be shipped through England before they are sent anywhere else.
-When in England the goods would be unloaded, inspected, approved, and reloaded.
-This act made it more expensive for the colonists and took more shipping time.
-Didn't end for 200 years
-Was obeyed for the most part except for when there was smuggling.
