The Temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple so it was built beside to or in the area of a royal tomb in Ancient Egypt. The temple applauds the pharaoh and includes shrines to honour the gods relevant to her afterlife. The architect who built the Temple designed it to commemorate the reign of Queen Hatshepsut.
