In Souther California, a serial killer known as the Night Stalker broke into 13 people's homes and murdered them in their sleep. A teenager saw a suspicious vehicle driving through the neighborhood and wrote the license plate number down. Policemen tracked down the car only to find it completely abandoned. Were it not for the fingerprints left behind, as well as modern technology, the killer would have been left untraceable. Fingerprints are extremely important means of identification.
