The African Plate
Here is info about the african plate.
The African Plate is a major plate that extends across the equator. It moves about 2.15 Cm per year and it moves in the Northeast direction. Since it is moving in that direction (northeast) it is drawing it closer to the Eurasian Plate causing subduction. Subduction may be a threat because subduction can cause earthquakes-which can cause Tsunami's.
The hotspots in The African Plate can also cause volcanos. The Afar Triangle is a place in the African Plate that has been know to erupt. The Afar Triangle is a spot where three plates are pulling away from each other, so volcanoes can erupt there.
Now on to The Antarctic Plate.
