Primary Succession:When an ecosystem starts off with just bare rock.Then it progresses onto lichens and mosses coming,then grasses and weeds,then shrubs,next would be fast growing trees,then finally the hardwood trees will grow.
Secondary Succession:When an ecosystem starts off with soil,from the previous forest or whatever was before it. Then is would continue on to grasses and weeds, shrubs,fast growing trees,and then hardwood trees.

Pioneer Species:A species that first comes to an area that previously didn't have any species living there.

Climax Community:When a forest reaches the most it can become,it has gone through all of the stages.It will stay the same till a major change happens.
