How does it help us?

- The first amendment is a amendment where the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, freedom of speech, and the freedom of press.

- Without the first amendment religious minorities could be persecuted, protesters could be silences, and citizens could not mobilize for social change.
