Cheetahs eat mainly gazelles, wildebeest calves, impalas and smaller hoofed animals.

Cheetahs are the fastest animal in the world and can reach a top speed of 70mph.

In 1900, there were over 100,000 cheetahs across their historic range. Today, an estimated 9,000 to 12,000 cheetahs remain in the wild in Africa.

Cheetahs live approximately 10-12 years.

Cheetahs have evolved to live in an environment where water is scarce, and can survive on one drink every three to four days.
