The immigrants were escorted into the city to begin a new life. This Island is connected to Liberty States Park. On this Island there is a wall of honor, a museum and 28 buildings.

The first immigrant was Annie Moore. She was an 18 year old teenager coming from Cork in Ireland. She travelled with her two brothers. They travelled by boat and arrived at Ellis Island, a new immigration station in America. They came to join ther parents in America. Annie is famous she has been the first immigrant registered in this station.
