Popular Sovereignty

Popular Sovereignty- the governments power comes from the people.

Metaphor- Popular sovereignty is like a teacher and his/her students. If all the students quit the teacher won't get paid and eventually will quit. If the people that gave the government power just didn't vote and did nothing to try and support the government it will eventually crumble and fall into pieces.
