Dear diary, today was my first day of training. It was weird when I walked into his room though because there were so many books and weird furniture. Usually everybody has the same furniture. Also, it surprised me that he could just turn off the speaker when we started to talk. I've never seen that before. Usually the Elders are always listening making sure everything goes right and no threats. I think it's sort of a invasion of privacy, but who am I.

The coolest thing was he have me this awesome memory. It was about hills and sleds. Then the next day he had to give me pain. It hurt a lot. But it was interesting because the pain was about "Sun burnt" you got it from the sun. I asked The Giver if we could change everything. Because I know so much it bothers me that everybody is under their command. But he says they will never even consider it. And the thing that bothers me most is that when they "release" someone they are just really killing them. It's terrible, and it's all because they don't want any harm in their community. Like if one mother has twins, they kill the one that weighs the least. It terrible.
